POPS World Meet Registration - UPDATE 5 Apr

We are sorry, but in order to prepare for this event we have had to close the On-Line Registration facility. HOWEVER you are important to us and we do want to know that you will be coming to the 9th World POPS Meet and Championships at Toogoolawah later this month!

POPS Australia and Skydive Ramblers with the support of Queensland Events, Brisbane Marketing, Esk Shire Council, the Australian Parachute Federation and Tourism Queensland are proud to host the 9th World POPS Meet & Championships 25th April to 3rd May 2008.

Much of the information contained in this website has been for some time, and currently is, available at or via www.popsdownunder.com, www.thepops.org and on the POPS World Forum, available via www.thepops.org/world.

If you want to attend the 9th World POPS Meet and Championships in Toogoolawah, Queensland, Australia, then you've come to the right place, but too late to regsister online! • Anyone may jump at this event, however anyone intending to participate in competition or record events must be a member of a POPS organisation and hold a valid POPS number (from an affiliated national POPS organisation); for SOS/JOS record attempts a valid SOS/JOS number is required.

• On arrival you will need proof of membership of your national parachuting association, your POPS membership, parachuting licence, proof of experience such as log book, and packing data for all your equipment including AAD.

• Foreign competitors will be provided temporary APF membership, without charge, so that they are covered under the APF Public Liability program. This is a risk management initiative by the APF to protect its interests.

  3 months Short Term APF Membership is available for bona fide overseas POPS Members travelling to Australia to participate at the 9th World POPS Meet and Championships upon completion of the Application Form. You can download, print and complete the form, and bring it with you for authorisation by the APF Chief Instructor at any APF Drop Zone in Australia, to enable you to jump at an APF DZ during your stay in Australia, for up to 3 months from the date you sign the application.

  Download the form here:. You will need to present the entire form at Registration on arrival at Toogoolawah. Alternatively, forms will be available when you arrive at Toogoolawah DZ, and must be completed as part of the registration process.

• All participants would be well advised to ensure they have appropriate medical, hospital and personal injury insurance.

• Foreign visitors are required to maintain and operate their equipment under the regulations of their own country.

• Jump tickets for fun, practice, boogie, specialty, big way and record attempt jumps can be purchased from Skydive Ramblers' manifest on arrival at the DZ and after gear has been checked and registration has been completed.

• Costs are subject to change without notice and will reflect charges current at the time of the event. Any price changes that do occur will be justified.

• The conduct of the event and any part of it including, but not limited to,competition events, boogie, record attempts and other jumping, organised social events, or Partner Program events, is subject to weather, aircraft availability, price fluctuations, competitor and participant numbers, and other matters outside the control of the organisers and your registration signifies your acceptance of these conditions.

• Any & all information contained herein or in any material published in any form by, for or on behalf of POPS Australia is deemed to be correct at time of printing or publishing via the Internet. Intending participants should verify information with the organisers, or the operators of any facilities, operations or other businesses before making, or not making, decisions based on this information.

• By completing this form you are accepting that your details will be stored on a computer database for the purpose of the managing and running of the 9th World POPS Meet at Toogoolawah, Queensland, Australia. Your details will be kept secure and not disclosed to third parties.
